Nelo Summer Challenge 2016

A big group of Surfski Holland went this year to the Nelo Summer Challange. A great race just above Porto, Portugal.

For a couple of years Nelo organise this race. And this year everything came together. The organisation was perfect, great food, good hotel and perfect weather conditions.

On race day there were 1,5 meter waves and a nice 5bft wind blowing. The allmost 20k race was won by the Australian Cory Hill. Joep van Bakel became 14th and Robin Koenders 29th.

Emiel Beukenkamp became 3th in his age category

Patrick Groot won the 520 class

And Barend van Herpe was 3th in his age category and 3th in the 520 class.

For Surfski Holland also raced: Jack Bakker, Thijs van der Veen, Martien Heemskerk en Rolph Overvliet.

A great trip, and we are looking out to the 2017 edition! For all the results, check http://summerchallenge.nelo.eu/new/results/
